The Concept of RV Camping

A recreational vehicle (RV) is a motor trailer that is equipped with living space and different recreational amenities that are found in a home. RVs are huge and they essentially contain a bathroom, kitchen and space for sleeping. This is also a type of camping that is undertaken primarily in the USA and is known as RV camping. In other parts of the world, it is known as caravan, motor home etc. The different types of RVs are popup trailer, fifth-wheel trailer and slide-in camper.

RVs are luxurious trailers and can be used for vacation or camping for beginners as well. Due to their big size, any equipment can be carried in an RV. RVs are parked in RV parks or campgrounds. You can pitch your tent in the ground or you may even sleep and set base within the RV.

RV camping

For those who have an interest in camping and travelling in RVs throughout the country, there are several clubs such as the RV Lifestyle. While RV campers travel to the equatorial areas during winter for camping, they return back during spring time.

A large section of people prefer living in their RVs and travelling to different destinations throughout their life. They are known as full timers. If you have the time and in a group., RVs are a great and cheap way to see the world. At various stops along the way, the group members can setup camp.

While travelling and stopping after a long journey, the RVs are parked preferably in campgroundsĀ  or RV parks. Sometimes, the RVs do not stop at the camp grounds due to financial constraints, need for privacy, and the chance to put up camp in unexplored areas.

What exactly is an RV park?

RV parks are used by people to park their recreational vehicles or trailers (RV) for a few days to even months. They are also referred to as campgrounds since the RV and the RV parks are away from home and all amenities are under the purview of the RV and the park.
